Well, it certainly seems that there are very few of us on this board. When I limit that to self-proclaimed conservatives or Republicans, those number come down to only 1 or 2 on this thread. So when I say, I'm in the minority, that is fact on this thread. I hope in the broader world, that is not true, though. However, it seems to me that folks who think it's ok to continuously run a deficit, really don't care about this country too much. Deficits are bad. Large deficits are ruinous. Large deficits run for decades are suicidal. The U.S. leaders are dooming our Democracy to suicide and the criminal about it is that the people who will bare the brunt of this suicide will be our children. That is why I am so outraged and incredulous that some of the so-called conservatives on this thread think it is ok to continuously run a deficit.
