I don't think it's a conspiracy, nor did I say nor imply that. It's *is* a seriously flawed system, and you are right that it isn't exclusive to the US. It isn't a conspiracy that's seen the wealthy absorbed by the top 1% double in the past 30? years. It's reality.

Yet I still expect the policies in the US (including Federal gov't choices & budget) and Federal Reserve actions and inactions to support the long term well being of the US. But they don't.

It's easy if you are a benefactor of the scheme to believe it serves the long term best interests of the country, when in fact the process is driven by those who benefit from it to the greater benefit of themselves.

Chances are really high that being blinded by the fun of the party is completely irrelevant to your own personal well being. If the trash is thrown out in this country by a revolution, it is likely to be 30 or 40 years away, in my opinion. And until then, use your "take" to ensure that your personal space is not violated by the childish, ignorant, and undeserving wannabees.

I believe this forum should be open to all opinions and I appreciate everyone who takes the time to post. This way we get everyone's perspective on the financial health of this country. I think by having a wall street insider can provide a great wealth of info to us.

Since many people on this thread are not 100% certain as to why the markets have not turned out to do what they thought they should do, having people like "longislandguy" can give us a bull's perspective of why the markets are behaving the way they are and what he feels is going to take place next.

Longislandguy - can you give us your opinion as to why we have not seen the credit and the housing bubbles burst and do you believe that they are going to burst and when/where it is going to take place.
