It was Bush's job to avenge the USS Cole. It was not proven until February 2001 that Al Qaida was behind it. Bush was already president by then. he did absolutely nothing. Didn't spend a single minute on it. He also ignored several pre 9-11 warning that AL Qaida was poised to strike inside the US using hijackings. In effect, he let 9-11 happen. And on 9-11 itselrf he lied and claimed he saw the first plane hit on TV. It was never shown on TV. Why did Bush lie? Why did he do nothing? Why did he let Osama go and ruin our military in Iraq without a plan? Bush is a national disgrace. if you defend him you are defending gross incompetence or much worse. Bush may even be a criminal trauitor. So stop it. Only 12% of Americans now support Bush on Iraq. That is the most dismal rating in US presidential history. Bush is finished. Dead and about to be buried. And he is clearly bad for our country. In fact he may have even lost his mind. And Cheney deserves prison. The culprits of the WTC #1 attack were arrested and are still in jail. What's your beef on that? Clinton also stopped the 1999 LAX Al Qaida bombing attack by being awake at the wheel. The embassy bombings were not proven Al Qaida until 1997. Shortly therafter, Clinton launched 150 cruise missiles at all known Al Qaida targets. What more do you expect? And where is OSama Bin Laden 64 months after 9-11? Alive and well. Under Bush, the best friend of the Saudis. You rightwingers don't have a leg to stand on on counterterrorism. Bush is the worst failure imaginable on that. At least Clinton tried hard and got a few things right. With kuch far less evidence of culpability than Bush had. And if Kerry had been pres the Iraq war would already be over.
