What was that movie where the fella went into Bed Bath and Beyond, and went through the Beyond door? Something magical happened there. Maybe that is what is happening to you. Margie has been going to 'visit' this crazy-looking goonie bird lawn ornament at Fred Meyer's (our local everything store) since last summer. They had three sizes, and the biggest was four feet high, or so. I shared a poignant crazy memory that I had a similar looking goony bird, much smaller than these, that I loved as a child. We agreed that $100, the price for the biggest one, was too much. But finally they went on sale and I got the middle size bird for 25% off, which made it very affordable. I don't think it's a surprise, but it's one of those goofy silly trailer trash lawn ornaments that has precious memories for both of us associated with it. I just wrapped it for her.
