Depending on your needs, there do seem to be quite a few options. I've always liked the Palm OS Treos, although the current industrial design is getting a little long in the tooth. If you can stomach Windows Mobile, I really like the Samsung BlackJack. Neither of those devices have much media storage capability beyond what you can add with flash (2 GB), so if you are looking for an iPod replacement, you might consider the Nokia N80, which is a music-based smartphone with 4GB HD. I haven't used it myself.
