It's not the same as having a mortgage loan. When I get a loan on my house I now have $1 of house for every $1 of debt. If instead I used my credit card to buy food, I would have $1 of debt for $1 of food, which was digested, turned into sh!t and flushed down my toilet. So now I have $1 in credit card debt and no asset behind it.

The gov't is doing the same thing by financing our current budget needs with deficit spending. Their are no assets to back those mounting debts. If you don't know this difference, your own finances won't stand the test of time.

But your attitude is very similar to that of our leaders, which is why we are in such a big mess have have $9 trillion in debt and increasing every day.
