Congress cannot stop the president on Iraq unless they cut off funding. Besides, democrats aren't even in power yet. And they certainly are pressuring Bush to get to a quick resolution. Harry Reid said it yesterday "the clock is ticking, Mister President". Kerry is in Damascus talking to them, and says he's willing to to Tehran. All kinds of things are happening. And McCain's idea of more troops is being soundly rejected which really hurts his chances in 2008.

So be patient. And remember, if the far left hadn't backed Nader in 2000m we wouldn't be in this position today so the left isn't blameless for this either.
