It's part of the public record. Rumsfeld made notes on the day of 9/11 that Iraq needs to be attacked, or something to that effect. And Cheney made public statements connecting the events of 9/11 to Iraq on the very day of the attack.

Before we went to war with Iraq, the CIA had people on the ground, had made covert contact with people that would know about the WMDs. The evidence they gathered strongly indicated there were no WMDs. The operatives on the ground in Iraq who were passing these finding to the WH soon saw their careers end or they were sidelined to other jobs. That is a fact. You blame the CIA, but Tenet was so close to the president personally he couldn't help but give what the president wanted to hear.

The president is trying to save his pride using the lives of our children.
