For several years I kept a kerosene heater for the basement, where my office is located. I haven't needed it for at least two winters so I gave it to Goodwill a couple months ago. Today, blizzard conditions around here, ditto for tomorrow, but I just let the furnace run. If we lost power, I'd have to go to a hotel, I guess.

The generator was really wonderful. I don't think we'd need one of those heaters. It took care of every need. That is until it blew a gasket. Then I blew a gasket. LOL
