I was just looking at Pinetree's net asset value, which for September 30 was under $7.00. That probably means that it is selling at a premium to NAV of about 100%.

A person could set up a portfolio of the stocks owned by Pinetree and then short the Pinetree stock. Perhaps there already is a very large short position, however, so there could be quite a squeeze. I never saw a closed end fund with anything like that premium, even the Korea fund at its highest, when you couldn't buy Korean stocks and people thought Korea was the next Japan.
