Hyperinflation seems a bit of a stretch for me, although who
knows. A currency crisis is definitely a possibility. It seems,
our creditors don't want it, though.

To Keep it simple for the average investor, like myself, and to those who read this thread regularly, where do each of you think one should invest in the coming year, if you think it is a combination of many places, then please provide percentages. I know investing is very personal and it really depends on one's future goals, age, and etc. But for the average investor what do all of you think a person should do with his assets?

a) US Stocks or shorting US stocks
b) Overseas stocks
c) Bonds/treasuries
d) RE in US
e) RE Overseas
f) Oil, Gas, Gold, Uranium
g) Money Markets in US, Swiss, or Iran (yes, Iranian banks are paying 17% interest)
h) etc.

I believe if we go thru this analysis, perhaps we can make the list a bit shorter and concentrate on key performance indicators that we all care about. Today on this thread we get news on everything from Fedex missing its target to the impact of cold weather on fuel/economy. Just a suggestion that might help us focus away from noise and to concentrate on ideas that would add value to the objectives of this board.

Here comes 2007! Huahhhhh
