Obama cannot win if he gets defined as a "foreigner" from Muslim Africa. It's hard enough being an all-American sounding Black moderate like Harold Ford. Obama knows his background, name and race are a lot for white middle America to swallow, not so much for a senator or cabinet member, and maybe not even for a VP candidate, but definitely for the Presdient Of The United States. This is why Obama may be smart to be patient and postpone his presidential ambitions and/or lobby for the VP slot. If he does this, then it will be Hillary vs. the White Male Candidates; Edwards for sure, but more importantly, Kerry and most important of all if he runs, Gore. Any of those other candidates might be smart to pick Obama as VP. Then if they win, Obama will be all set up in 2016, with American having had a long time to get used to him.
