I think after yesterdays postage/mailing bill, we are both going to consider gift cards much more seriously as well. Giving a card to a place where we know they like to shop is a great idea....Both hubby and I LOVE B&N cards, and of course, I think Starbucks cards are wonderful as well. My original one is now a cause celebre' (sp?) It is so old (what....maybe 10+ years old) the younger folks think it is an antique....<double grin!> I sent a "surprise" gift yesterday. My sisters and I always draw for ourselves and our husbands....So we sent those gifts...but I also had a couple of things to another sister, "just because" and can't wait till she sees it! Agree with you on those with "strings"....Hope I don't give any of those...they aren't fun. Here's to a joyous and peaceful time, for everyone of us! Best, K~~
