Hi V, Re: Firing up Newport.......................

It is possible to get Newport working on newer computers. I can't get it compiled any more with your own password, so you'd have to use a generic one.

I can copy it to a 3.5" floppy and it will install from that. I could also copy it to a CD-ROM and it should install from there as well.

Once done you will have to write over the Winport.EXE file with the latest one (which I'll include for you) so that it will work in this millennium!

Also, it is necessary to use 5 characters in any ticker you add to the program when using anything later than W98. So, if you owned MMM, you would put the ticker in Newport as MMM_ _ with the two underscores completing the ticker. Only Bill Gates knows why Windows XP needs this done!!!

Email me a snail mail address and I can send it out. Otherwise if your email will allow EXE files to be received, I can send the whole business to you via email.

Best regards,
Tom
