The 2004 statistics are just out. In 2004 the top 1% of taxpayers paid 35% of all individual income taxes. Even the pathetically blind class warriors will have a hard time justifying more onerous taxes than that.

Maybe he's applying the "from each according to his ability" standard. So their "fair share" is whatever they can afford to pay...

As a proud member of the underclass he probably believes that every person who has any degree of competence should pay the taxes for the incompetent and lazy.
