I hope present and future actions by Bush put the final nails in the coffin of the "neo-con" experiment.

So far it hasn't proven to be a wise use of the countries resources.

Somewhat ironically by being so sure of the countries' power Bush has made it appear there are limits of US military might when that may not be so. Right now it looks like we are being fought to standstill by a bunch of raving lunatics with only AK-47s. As Kyle or Stan would say "weak". A situation like Iraq may be one of the few moves that makes the American Military look ineffectual. Iraq is nuts and quite dysfunctional its perhaps an impossible situation.

Bush was re-elected partially because he was able to project a "hawk-like" persona. However he has waged the war in Iraq very carelessly and seems way behind the curve. NOW he's realizing we're not winning and is going to make adjustments when that should have been apparent like two or three years ago? Where was this kind of thinking two years ago?

Rove played to Bush's stubbornness to show he's a strong leader. Republican researchers know just what words to use to push the right buttons in the electorate. Kerry lost partially because he was portrayed as a "flip-floppper".

I'm quite sure most voters now see Bush's stubbornness as a non-positive trait and more likely see him as "pig-headed". Hopefully Americans will realize a strong leader most needs sound judgment and that changing ones mind is not a weakness if more information has been gathered.
