Talk about an anticlimax for my first grand cru. The cork crumbled despite several types of openers and eventually needed to be pushed into the bottle. It apeared old and defective. Alas, the wine was the same...thin, mildly acidic, spoiled. No nose, flavor, or robustness. My guess is that it was stored improperly and maybe regifted to me, either wittingly or unwittingly defective.

Rats is all I can say.
