That is what my daughter did last December. She slowed down for 3 deer out in the middle of the highway. The driver of the rental car that was following her about a quarter of a mile back was talking to the person in the back seat and never slowed down.

It took a few months of treatments to work off the pain in her back and neck from the whiplash. The rear end of her car was pushed up to the back tires. I guess that is what happens when a car going 60 miles an hour hits a car that had completely stopped and was just starting back up!

I was surprised, but that accident didn't affect her insurance. Oops, I mean my insurance.<g>
