Right above Ennis is Corofin.

Two blocks long, 8 bars and 5 funeral parlors.

One Friday night a Gardai drove into town, walked into all of the bars at closing time and each bar dutifully closed on time.

All of the people walked into the street and the musicians started to play......the beer flowing from the back doors of the bars. The Gardai stayed and watched.

As their planes come into Shannon, people drive up through Ennis and through Corofin to get home to the Burren or on to Galway.

They could not get through Corofin, so they parked the cars and walked up to join the impromptu Fesh.

Funny as hell. If it happened in the States it would have broken into a riot; in Ireland they just join the party....
