Do we really want to live in an economy and financial markets that are regulated to protect the dumb? I'm all for free markets. If the banks loaned money to someone who can't afford to repay, let them both suffer the consequences. I don't want some bureaucrat in the middle trying to protect each side from making stupid decisions.
