'Too many people think there is a conspiracy by the Fed to screw the bears. It's all very simple. Millions of people can't get enough shit and are willing to borrow to get more shit.'

Very well put.. It seems like the world was a so much more balanced place a decade ago.. A society now 'high' on credit and certainly our 'conservative' leadership in DC in recent years is just as 'high'..

"Credit is growing because a bunch of dimwits are borrowing and spending like crazy"

You got it backwards, credit is growing BECAUSE a bunch of moronic lenders is giving it to a bunch dimwits. Just wait for morons to shut the spigots, when they finally realize that the money given to dimwits is un-collectable. At the end you will pay (through taxes and higher interest rates) for "the fat people waddle out of the store with 3 carts stacked full of massive quantities of everything imaginable"

They are having fun while you get the final bill.

What "scam" is there? Go sit your car in the Costco parking lot and watch the fat people waddle out of the store with 3 carts stacked full of massive quantities of everything imaginable. You think the Fed told them to do that?

Wrong !

If not for the Fed having created a real estate bubble and increasing money supply at 10-15% a year and BOJ and PBOC printing money to support the dollar, their spending would be shut down long time ago (around 2000/01)
