TX. Phooey on Merrill Lynch and their 10-year DCF model. Ten years' of projections for a steel company. That's really crystal balling. OTOH, it is nice to read a positive write-up. (Thanks for posting.)

I have more faith in your stock picking abilities than ML, and I know you like this one (TX), so I'm holding on to my shares as well. If stock rises over $30 (my initial buy point was $28.05/sh), I'll begin to assume that maybe ML is right, and MAYBE I might consider upping my few shares.

As regards steel stocks, I'm adding to my position today in GNA as it continues to fall.

fp_

I´ve checked Tref . It is a very small company , with qrt revenues of U$8M . I saw eps/q =$0.03 , seens too low for a $47,00 share. But looks a small promissing one with rev gaining 80% from last year´s.

Can you give me a link to see its key numbers. And wich homebroker can I buy it , an oslo bors . Is it easy to trade in Norway , is it like a Etrade ?

Thanks and congrats for TX , I think she may leave the 30´s in some months.

Steel co. TX. Uh oh.
"Venezuela's government is considering securing a majority stake in the private steel company Sidor in order to assume control, the country's vice minister for mining said Monday."

biz.yahoo.com

If the gov't does this and then directs steel business to preferred customers, that should drop profits of Sidor, imo. Maybe even cause losses. Losses that will perhaps be shared by the gov't (in its controlling ownership) and the reduced percentage ownership by TX.

I don't know what part Sidor makes up of TX steel companies, but TX seems diversified in Mexico/South America. And controlling stakeholders (of TX) appear to be pretty sharp.

I don't see TX stock - spiking down today - going up. Maybe dropping further as gov't implements their socialism. Still, even with Venezuela/Sidor issues, I'll bet that management of TX will be able to steer the corporation to better days eventually. Now if I can only hold on that long.
