builders have been unloading land reserves and houses, some at very cheap rates"

They need to switch gears...

inhabitat.com;

In most cases, the development probably wouldn't 'pencil'. Land near cities have gotten very expensive and most gov't jurisdiction are zoning for bigger lots instead of smaller ones. In fact, they wouldn't work in New Orleans had there not been the hurricane and the diaspora that followed.

I've seen them before.......they are very cool structures....I lived in a similar little house when I first moved to LA. It was part of a grouping of like-sized cottages around a courtyard. They were designed by Walt Disney and were the basis for the homes in the movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Do you know the status of Moser's little houses are? Are they building them? BTW Moser is a good architect. As for NO, it looks like Nagin turned out to not be the right guy for the job. Its too bad....it appears New Orleans continues to flounder as the rest of the Gulf States seem to be making a comeback. What's your impression? How are things in Beaumont?
