Neighborhoods never get top priority when it comes to snow plowing. For the most part, this area can deal with several inches of snow fairly well. This storm dumped over 2 feet and the drifts were double that, or more.

I read in yesterday's paper about a scientist in Fort Collins who has invented a chemical to spray on highways that prevents freezing. The snow plows can get down to the pavement right away and there's no ice. They used that on most major highways around here and it was super beneficial.

We're dug out and plowed out now, but there are still some problem spots on the side streets. More weather coming in Sunday, so we're getting our winter for the next several days.
