Thanks for that input. As you stated, I've done extensive research on this and have passed it all along to her. She's 90 years old and I believe has inadvertently trained herself NOT to sleep. This has been going on for the past 5-6 years. Since my dad died, mostly. We've tried all the herbs and OTC sleep aids. Most give her terrible headaches. Benadryl does help her sleep, but it makes her zombie-like all the next day. I've seen commercials for a new drug called Rozerem, which is supposed to work as needed, is not habit forming and can be taken over extended periods of time. We're going to talk to her doc about it when Mom decides nothing else will help. She doesn't do meds well.
