She's not really alone. She's in assisted living and has her own small apartment. Her eyes aren't good enough for much reading at night. She has osteoporosis bad and can't sit very long during the day. She uses a rolling walker and takes a lap around the building 2-4 times each day. Not enough energy for much else other than going for meals down the hall. It's only 10 minutes away from me and I get over to see her 3 or 4 times a week. We have long telephone conversations when she's in the mood. She's bright and up on current news and I enjoy being with her, most of the time.
