Yes, he's a very interesting person. I got interested in what he had to say after reading some medical research on the beneficial effects of meditation on the immune system.

His books are also very interesting, especially when he talks about emotions -- destructive emotions, healing emotions.

My brother used to be an alcoholic, but started meditating Tibetan Bhuddist style, and quit.

He travelled to Tibet, twice, and also to rural China, in order to help set up health care facilities (did the same thing after Katrina.)
