LOL...it hasn't been all dead at all, in point of fact. Maybe it will be, maybe it won't be. The original purpose of the thread was not to say Bush's win was a mistake (and I can't imagine why you make that up that way), it was "to discuss his (Kerry's) candidacy and help us understand more about him."

I also don't know why you would pretend most Americans agree with the spirit of this thread, when there is no agreed way to define the spirit of the thread, nor common knowledge of this thread among the American people, nor poll to look at. There is just your opinion.

More recently, you've quoted Kerry from the 70's in this thread header dated 12/14/2006, steering the discussion to the notion that there is no threat to America in Iraq. My post was very much on topic per that.

Then you've requested recently in another header for folks not to make personal attacks, yet in contradiction to that you've come here to insist it is I who look "stupid" for my wholly ad hominem free on topic post to a guy who called me, and calls everyone not in agreement with him, Idiot and Moron on a regular basis.

But of course, since you agree with him, I guess his relentless ad hominem throwing is A-OK. Obviously, I think it is too. It's his thing.

Having given no reason for your declaration that I look "stupid," I can only affirm again that you break your own rule with a personal attack without substance.

This is not new. Perhaps you are right, and no one will post here anymore.

Ya'll need to look at yourselves, think more clearly before posting, and open your minds, IMHO.

Dan B.

Kerry's the one who recruited and funded James Webb, the one who gave the DEms control of the senate. Kerry focused in 2006 on supporting veteran candidates, including Webb. It was a rousing success. I think 10 out of 12 of them won. Kerry also raised 14 million bucks for Dems candidates in 2006. He has a lot of favorsn therefore to call in.

Interestingly, I think he also was the one who recruited Obama. At least he was the one who invited him to make the keynote address which catapulted him to stardom.

disgusting to see Lieberman supporting Bush still. What was Gore thinking picking him in 2000? It cost Gore the WH.
