Whatever one's opinion on who is or is not the villain in the Middle East (and my views on this subject are no secret) events there could have a huge impact on investment performance in 2007.

If the neo-cons in Israel and the US succeed in their drive for war with Iran, the implications for investment markets around the world can hardly be exaggerated.
Huge rises in gold and oil, massive selloffs in bonds and stocks, and a surge of central bank printing that will dwarf anything seen to date.

So it behooves us to follow events in this region VERY closely.
