Wall Street's big holiday gifts hint at nation's wealth gap

Any kid can do his best in school, try to get into a decent bank for a first job, try to get into a top business school, and then get into and work his ass off at one of these Wall Street firms, and then get the $40 million payout if things go their way career-wise. It's the American dream.

Earlier this month, Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack took home $40 million, a record bonus for a single year's performance.

Dude, this really IS the American dream.

Mack is the son of Lebanese immigrants. His father, Charles, came to America at the age of 12, following his father who had arrived at Ellis Island in 1908,

Why is it when I look into things that you think are terrible they wind up being good, or your understanding is just wrong? The grandson of an Ellis island immigrant is a multi-millionaire. The meat packing industry which is squeezing illegal employees while generating record profits has a net margin of 1.5%.

Days later, his record was smashed by the $53.4 million payout to Goldman Sach's Lloyd Blankfein.

Lets see, this guy is the son of a postal service clerk!

So what is it, don't you want the lower and middle class to have the chance to reach the upper class, like these two guy have? You should be celebrating their success, not demonizing it.

You should spend more time complaining about Paris Hilton. Then I'll agree with you.
