My point is that Mr. Bush has not done nearly enough, not nearly enough...to stop the nuclear blast you worry about!

How would the nuclear bomb arrive? By Freighter? Where is port security? Where is the x-raying of container cargo?

Would the bomb arrive over our pourous borders? Where is TRUE border security? Not on his watch.

Would it be delivered by aircraft? The 9/11 Commission had a lot of comments on the air defense response..not all their concerns have been addressed yet.

Would the plutonium for the device be from North Korea or from the former Soviet empire? Whatever happened to Mr. Bush's statement that a weapons test in NK would be "intolerable"? (Whatever that means!) and as for the former Soviet Union..whatever happened to the program to locate and buy up all the potentially loose nuclear fuel and scientists?? Not on Mr. Bush's watch.

So..if (God forbid) that nuclear bomb you fear should ever actually go off, ask yourself some questions about how it was developed and how it was delivered to our shores, and be sure to pose those same questions to Mr. Bush and his Administration.

Remember, this is the same administration that said "no one could ever have foreseen someone using a plane as a missle", so they would probably be surprised by someone bringing in a nuke on a freighter.

Am I cynical? Absolutely. Homeland Security? Don't make me laugh.

I think Bush has done a piss-poor job in the very area he claims to be so worried about; an area that I am very worried about myself- that area being the prevention and/or stopping of a nuclear device being detonated in the USA. He slowed down the work being done in the Clinton administration to defuse the loose stuff in the former Soviet Union. Under Clinton it would have been done in about 18 months from now; under the delayed Bush schedule it will be done around 2014 at the earliest . Same goes for bio and chem weapons or stores in that region.

Besides this Bush spends 6-8 billion a week on Iraq and yet cannot find the resources to get the proper bomb sniffing equipment in place at our ports or to speed up protection of chemical factories or key railroad intersections, etc.

The guy is a f---- loser who could cost us big time because of his inattention and inaction.
