" Or the Democrats could follow the Republican example and just borrow more to pay for new, unneeded programs. Remember, the Medicare Part D Drug Plan (socialized medicine no matter what you call it - government payment for medical care on a scheduled basis) is a Republican creation...and paid for...how? Not new taxes. More debt.

What the Americans, and for that matter the rest of the world, should beware of, is having no electric power.....That, all by itself, will bring the US to it's knees quickly, and right behind it, the rest of the world in short order. We got a little taste of being without power for 5 days (for us) and some of the King Co area up to 12 days....what happens when you are without power, is not only no lights or heat, but no power to the gas stations to get gas....and no generators for the grocery stores to keep perishable foods.... no ATMs, no banks open, no money to work from....No internet, no email, no way to check money in funds, no bus transportation (because of no gas) etc etc. People are so silly...I read some of the comments here and elsewhere on SI, and always the same ole' Dems or Leftwingers continually blasting Bush, for even daring to get up in the morning. Look back to 1999...the same silly folks were doing the same thing, WAY before he was even elected. So were some of the MSM. And yet, we see not a single good idea coming from them. Only bombast. Evidently these folks either don't believe the murdering barbarians, or they are working with those same murdering barbarians.
