>>>Chancels, not sure what you can do with your money if you don't want to believe in the sanctity of contracts.<<<

I want to believe and do in the sanctity of contracts. Anyone who has ever done business with me has had their contract serviced to its exact terms, and I expect and generally receive the same in return. Its just that the 9th circuit doesn't. The whole federal government apparently doesn't when it comes to the oil leases in the GOM, and frankly it scares the hell out of me.

I thank you for bringing BPZ to the attention of the board. One of the great things about this board is that it pushes the envelope on investment ideas - many things I never would have discovered on my own.

So, my point is, don't sweat it, we have at least 2 years before we have to start worrying about this sorta stuff.<<<

An interesting and reasonable approach. I don't know much about Peru. Like anything in life, the reward is usually proportional to the risk.

On of the real laggards in this sector was Vintage Petroleum (VPI) - another find per the BBR. The knock on the company was that it had a lot of South American holdings. However I think that these were concentrated in Hugo country.
