Gerald Ford just died. An honest Republican. Let Ford be a role model. True he was boring, but he had ethics and really cared about his country.

Most of the modernday Bushie Republicans do not have any ethics and cannot be trusted with a single dollar or US soldier. They only care about dividing, conquering, smearing, lining their pockets, handing off huge favors to fat cat gougers, boosting their egos, talking tough (while destroying our military and making us all less safe) and basically screwing us all.

Ford lacked charisma, but he had morality, when conservativism used to stand for morality. Nixon went over the line in terms of ethics and was justly punished for his abuses of power, but even Nixon was nowhere near as bad as these Bushies. At least he had competence and did diplomacy.

Thanks to Bush and his villainous cronies the GOP now stands for the zero ethics, gross incompetence, radical ideologies and political criminality. All that needs to change. ALL of it. That is, unless the GOP wants to stand for the worst dark side aspects of American society. Then they will be a permanent minority party and may even go out of existence like the Whigs and other past partiesd which no longer exist. If I were a Republican I'd be fighting mad - against my own party leadership, more so than anyone on earth.
