Dubai: Sacrificial animals have become costlier in the country as the cattle markets have witnessed a 25 per cent increase in the prices of livestock.

This year the prices of sacrificial animals have soared because of re-exports of large numbers of animals to Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, said animal traders at the Dubai Cattle Market.
