I think windmills would work just fine... where I live we have the trade winds off the ocean, each of our homes could have a small set of windmills right on our roofs, we have television dishes on our roofs now, we use to have television antennas on our roofs, so why not a set of windmills... they would generate more than enough energy to supply each home with all the power we would need, and more than enough which could be stored in large batteries for later use... BUT, the city won't allow it, thanks to the local power company who doesn't want the competition... it's a problem that can be handles at the very local level, we won't have to worry about government regulated nuclear stations and their huge costs and risks... of course, if you're someone like that fat pig kennedy who doesn't want a windmill to block his view, then that's another story...
