we walked into a 1/2 finished subdivision with base prices of 770. the lady started going over the options and my wife asked her to cut to the chase, what were they going to throw in. All hardwood floors, upgraded appliances, top of the line cabinets. She asked us what we wanted.

JQP this thread (link below) is the biggest thread on RE on the net and made Newsweek Magazine a few months ago so I don't think its a big secret. But denial is in force soon to sink to anxiety and then despair

I moved to fort lauderdale for the carnage
and the amount of denial down here is ufb!
I have been putting in offers about 55% of the
asking price. I have not done a deal yet this year.
I did three deals between nov and dec at 33% off the asking price.
Looks like a few more months for reality to start to set in
down here.
btw the weather is too f`ing hot everyday,in the 80`s!
This is winter?
When i was a child and would come to fl in the winter it averaged 65 in dec jan feb..
