He still doesn't get it because he still greatly overestimates himself?

The "average man" is a much maligned creature, but he's what the world is built of. And he proves his unaverageness every day, so much so that the "average man" may not exist. We all have gifts. We only need to find and use them. Or get them called forth. Many of the heroes in Iraq are average", but they do extraordinary things. The "average man" in this country built it and he deserves our thanks.
