Kurds are feircely ANTI Sunni arab, so their count is not really a factor--they are relly not a part of Iraq anymore, anyway--they exist a part of Iraq in name only, there is no reality to it anymore.
The 1997 census , if anything, would have worked to push up Sunni Arab count.
Actual population not the key either.
The ratio is however, and that is Shi'ites to Sunni Arabs nearly 2:1.
If you believe that 2:1 ratio has been magically obliterated be my guest.
Regli you will learn why i am a very unpopular person on these boards:(
When i think something posted is manifestly wrong i take a stand, and remove all pretense i am only offering an opinion. i am not offering an opinion here, i am saying that 2005 data is BOGUS and my intuitional computations demand i speak so bluntly.
If people backcheck Bush and gang in 2005 were then fighting and manipulating then for the Sunni in order to prevent Shi'ite control of the parliament, which at that time they dreaded.
One fact Iraqi TV was flooded with promotions to vote FOR the slate that was against the United Shi'ite Party. Those commercials were all paid for by the U.S. government. Max
