Arianna is right about the issues these days, unlike the Bushies. She has also become one of the most respected national voices from the progrsive side. She was married to a Republican politician who turned out to be gay, like many of them are in reality. It wasn't her fault. Many people have been fooled by tough-sounding Republicans who turned out to be gay. I suspect your hero Santorum for instance. The rightwing is chockful of hypocrisy on the gay issue, as well as the military issues, considering very few of them have ever served their country.
