Dean led Kerry by 30% in New Hampshire polls two weeks before the primary. Kerry ended up beating Dean by 25%. That's how much these early polls mean. At this stage in 2002 Lieberman and Gore dominated the polls. Kerry, Dean and Edwards weren't even on the map. The hype Obama got in the last month made him the most famous new celebrity in America. He is also a fresh face who inspires hope and curiosity. Yet if he runs he has a long difficult road ahead, more difficult perhaps than any other major candidate.
