I am trying to get fresh intel on Gore from a friend of mine who knows him. Gore is the real mega-factor because despite all the Obama hype (some of it deserved, but overdone) and the constant talk of Hillary being the dominant frontrunner, I have the strong gut feeling that neither one of those will be the nominee in 2008, though Obama could be the VP running mate.

Position for a VP on the ticket with someone who may be non electable? Is that good political sense on Obama's part? Or are the Clinton folks putting that out o temper down the challenge to Hillary's candidacy?
