We really were blessed to have the Founders of this Country in the same place (basically) at the same time....It's hard to even identify our Statesmen of today.

I read David McCullogh's "1776" last summer.

Excellent book. Makes you realize we won the Revolutionary War primarily as a result of Washington's determination to hold the troops together and motivate them to fight after the defeats of Boston and New York.

I passed it on to ManyMoose, but I think he used it for a doorstop and has now lost it.
