Looks as if warrants are just yield enhancers for the funds.

They sold like mad, and this happened well in advance of the vote.

Then... the vote failed.

It is obvious that the hedge fund managers have been talking to each other prior to the shareholder meetings. They know the results in advance. The huge discounts in the warrants (for those deals that have cratered) leading up to the meetings have been telegraphing the results before the actual votes have been added up and announced. It is nice to have friends.
