Some people have no manners. I am sorry your niece is afflicted.

I sent a $100 gift card to a niece, whom I never see, for a wedding gift. That was last June and I have yet to get a "thank you". Now, I'm just waiting for a baby announcement, which I will totally ignore.

Amazing, isn't it, how some in the younger generation have never learned that little social gestures like thank you notes are appreciated?

We went to a niece's wedding up near the Canadian border in September. It was 6 hrs of driving each way. Gave the couple what I considered a very nice gift. I have yet to have any acknowledgement of the gift. Spoke with my mother the other day and her comment was, "and you probably never will."

Good luck with your snow today.
