Wharfie, what was the cause of the bigger ice shelf break-off 30 years ago? Not to mention the other 80% which has disappeared since 1906 when CO2 production had barely started.

I think the change is just a continuation of the end of the last glaciation.

How much ice was there 200 years ago? 400 years ago? I guess the shelves were bigger back then.
