And the person offering the defense of the picture previously worked in the PR section of the WH and for Douglas Feith. And has a history. One of the interesting things about this moment is that all is fake. Nothing can be taken at face value. And, as you point out, all this Kerry stuff is monumentally unimportant. Kerry's definitely not a serious candidate and, even if the photograph is accurate, it means nothing. There will be a lot of photograph doctoring from here on out. Establishing truth claims will be difficult.
