Kennedy and Bush agree on illegal immigration. And the fact is there IS no right answer on the subject. Because unless you want to start throwing thousands of business owners in prison, you are not going to stop the hiring of illegals.

Also, a study just came out that states the Texas economy benefits by 18 billion per year from illegal laborers. And Bush is on record as saying "if they can get across the Rio Grande, we'll take them". That may sound evil to you but history tells us the US has encouraged illegal immigration many times during our history. The entire agricultural empire of California was created on the backs of cheap illegal workers. And if they are not allowed to work, who picks the produce? Nobody, that's who, so it rots in the fields and orchards.

Also, the Tom Tancredos and Michelle Malkins of the world are just plain racists. Malkin has lied on TV saying that Arab terrorists are using the Mexican border to "invade us". That is an outrageously inaccurate claim. So they should not be the ones deciding what to do with Hispanic illegals. And if you think the wall is going to stop them, think again. In fact Bush doesn't even want the damn wall. He authorized it but only with no funding.

This is a critical problem but disturbingly one which there seems to be no solution for. And conservatives are extremely conflicted on it. Even Reagan granted amnesty. So is Kennedy wrong? No. He's just trying to find a compromise, and on this agrees with Bush.

So name an issue Kennedy is wrong on for which there is a right solution he doesn't go for? Bet you can't find a single issue.

There IS no right answer on illegal immigration.
