The point is not that Laura is vindictive, and we have no idea what the boy she killed really meant to her, but the fact is the rightwing, with no real issues to honestly discuss, keeps talking about Kennedy's fatal accident 35 years ago (and it was definitely an accident), as if that makes him an evil person, while they give Laura Bush a total pass when her auto fatality might have even been deliberate or semi-deliberate. She wouldn't be the first heartbroken teenager to do something stupid. And if it was a total accident it sure was a coincidence she knew the boy so well. As for Kennedy's accident we don't even know if he did anything wrong except drive off a tiny narrow bridge with no guardrails by accident, though I admit it's likely he was trying to put the moves on her while drunk and married. Likely but not proven. I am not criticizing Laura Bush, I am criticizing the double standard of Kennedy-hating Bushies who ignore their own scandals and point fingers at others. And the list of Bush family scandals is a yard long. Every bit as long as the Kennedys and much more costly to our nation, going back to being in business with Hitler, all the asay up to the Bin Laden family. All the Kennedy scandals arguably didn't hurt the country one iota. The worst scandals in US history in fact were the MURDERS of the Kennedy brothers, which may very well have been arranged by far rightwing enemies. They are certainly the most likely culprits unless you believe the lone nut theories and can ignore mounds of contradictory evidence.
