finale for Nicolai and Elena Ceausescu. Right George, I forgot that one. Couldn't happen to a nicer couple. And so Romanian! Now we will watch CNN and the Nets agonize over showing the hanging. They had no trouble showing the "Snuff Film" they bought showing our troops being snipered. After showing it again and again, they now have it as a "On demand" tape at their site that you pay to watch.

I have no sympathies for the Ceausescu's... but as I recall, basically, the "proceedings" took place in a smoke-filled room, where they yelled at the two of them for about an hour or so, and then dragged them outside and gunned them down on the steps. Not pretty... and with hardly an attempt at appearing legitimate. Sounds like Romanians themselves feel that they were forced by circumstances to do what they did, but they are not particularly proud of it: ceausescu.org
